Useful Data Analytics: Gaining insights for Sales and Marketing Activities

This talk gives an overview of how the analysis of data is helpful in making more informed decisions related to sales and marketing activities. The talk will share practical and economical methods for gathering fact-based information from free public data sources, using internal business data and accounting records to see business trends. Topics covered will include sources of useful data and simple ways to summarize and display data, hidden data sources, and data visualization tools that are readily available. Ideas for gaining insights will be shared including customer economic value, Net Promoter Scores (NPS) based on customer surveys and other related topics. Examples will show how companies have used graphs and other data visualizations to better manage their business. There will be pointers on assessing social media, how to design a company-specific “informative dashboard”, and where to seek assistance for data analysis support and training.
